Sacraments
The United Methodist Church recognizes two sacraments ordained by our Lord Jesus Christ in the church. The Sacraments are means by which God makes grace available to us in a real way.
Holy Baptism
In the waters of Holy Baptism, we accept God’s forgiveness of our sin and are brought into new life in our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are likewise incorporated into the Body of Christ, becoming a member of the church universal. Because God offers grace to all persons regardless of age, the Church baptizes both adults and infants.

Holy Communion
In the bread and cup of Holy Communion, God offers nourishing grace through the real and living presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. We offer praise and thanksgiving for what God has done and look forward to God’s future work of salvation in our Lord’s coming again. Our denomination affirms an open table whereby all persons are invited to participate and partake in Holy Communion.
